Vintage

This new book has just arrived, so I have photographed some of the pages to give you a sneak peek of some of the lovely creations made from vintage remnants. ( old tablecloths,curtains,dresses pillow cases etc. )

This great old biscuit barrel is sized for practicality, its more than twice the usual size of antique biccie barrels. It does have a few flaws, but still displays well.

Close Shave

Shaving mugs add a touch of nostalgia to a bathroom,and are such a functional decorating item.

The shaving stand still has its original soap holders and swivel mirror.

This gorgeous pressed flower collage (just new in) has been framed beautifully in an antique frame.

Artful Accessories

These accessories are so cute and arty, especially the owl hairclip. These are a few samples of new arrivals today.

Porcelain princesses

Some lovely early china~ a sweet little jug cover,a quaint powder puff holder~and this old teapot makes such a great vase !

Old Favourites

My absolute favourite old rose is David Austin "Abraham Derby",it flowers the entire rose season,is a prolific grower and the flower itself is perfumed and so beautiful. The thick vine wreath sitting behind them is an earthy compliment ,this one looks really great in any environment.

This wire basket is also a favourite,it looks as though it could have been around in the early 1900s from the design,(but it hasn't!)very simple and classic. The book "New Spaces From Salvage"is currently in stock. I also have a copy at home which I never tire of flicking through for inspiration,the leadlight,castiron,stone and rustic treasures are amazing.

This pair of cast iron doves can be seen in just about every English Gardening magazine as they are such an old classic.We have sold many of these over the years,and I don't think they will ever become dated. They develop that lovely old rusted patina if left standing in a birdbath for too many years, but I find that adds to the charm.

The bold and beautiful

The bold colours of these majolica pieces mix well with the pretty pinks. This is quite an unusual hat pin holder,as is the pin cushion doll.

A grand old lady who loved a great hat, has left her collection for the like-minded hat-wearers and admirers out there.
