More Updates

A few more snaps of how our new store is shaping up, it will probably be approximately two weeks before opening date. As I mentioned before, we have our big annual antique fair on this weekend - 3rd and 4th July, and once that is over we will be able to concentrate fully on stocking up . Don't forget there are only two more days to grab a jewellery bargain at 25% off until Wednesday - 30th June.

Updates

42 Langtree is starting to look a little more like a shop now than it did a few days ago. Today was spent moving in more furniture, opening lots of boxes of new stock, hanging chandeliers and ladders and generally doing what we love best!

A fresh canvas

Working with white walls and lots of space is so refreshing after always having to find a small corner and crammed walls to squeeze anything new into. The big picture still has a long way to go, but it's a fun process.

Filling Up Fast

I am really happy with our new counter top - pictured,made from an old partly stripped door,amazing colours were found under the white paint. We have attached it to an old Victorian rustic sideboard.

The painting is finished and we have started to move some more bits and pieces into 42 Langtree Avenue. Things are slowly starting to take shape!

42 Langtree Avenue - Rose Harvest City store

It's been a whirlwind of a week! We made a decision during the week to open a second store in the very busy restaurant end of Langtree Avenue - Mildura. An empty shop became available which is quite rare in that area, so it all happened very fast. We have only had the key for a few days, but lots of activity has been going on to get it painted and cleaned (and awful carpets removed !)Most of the new stock that I brought back from my buying trip last week went straight to our new address, and I am off to collect another load today.

Couldn't wait to set the window up as we don't have windows to decorate at our Irymple store!!We are hoping to open in the second week of July as there is quite a lot of work to be done in that time. We are planning to stock some bigger pieces of furniture that we don't have space for at our existing shop, ( i.e. tables etc) garden pots and accessories and lots of gifts and homewares. I will post photos of the progress as it happens,back on Wednesday :)
