There's just something lovely about old objects that show their age. Timeworn surfaces,a little bit of rust,an imperfection here and there. And then there is "created" ageing, the rusty horse and carriage pictured have been re-produced from an old original, but its so hard to tell the difference.I'm not sure what process has been used to create this effect, but it looks amazing. The rusty hat tin it is resting on is actually that, an old hat tin that has naturally aged and has probably been transported around the countryside carrying all sorts of hats over the hundred or so years since it was made. The lovely wind-up piano stool is also an old original and would look at home in any situation, not necessarily just at a piano. The very unusual lamp has been made from heavy cast iron and a cotton hand-sewn shade, quite an effective combination of rustic and pretty .As we are approaching the festive season I have also included a pic of a non-traditional but really cute iron and tin Xmas tree.
