Random pictures and thoughts

I normally follow some sort of theme with each daily update, but today is completely random photo taking of things of interest. I do have a love for cast iron, leadlight, old timbers and mixed with the plumbago in full bloom and a spot of pressed tin and of course the everpresent bird figure I think I have covered a lot of bases. The lovely old fireplace pictured is of course way out of season at the moment with these scorching days, but it is so fantastic with its original cast iron insert all intact and perfect golden pine finish, that it can still be admired and its never too early to plan ahead. The classic old leadlight doors will never date,so much more interesting than a new one,we have quite a few to choose from. The huge clock pictured is quite contemporary but still looks at home with the old,I would love to see it on a large bare wall where it can be seen to full advantage, unfortunately there are no such walls here !!! The tramseat is from a c1900 Melbourne tram,it would make a great garden seat or kitchen/hall chair, certainly a talking point. The final photo is yet another creation for the birds, quite a few families could move into this house,it is so stylish, perfect to accommodate the Royal bird family if there is one :) Happy Friday.
